Advent is the season we celebrate the coming of Christ or Christmas. When Christ came, He brought rest and restoration. This year, more than any before, I have needed and felt this rest in a tangible way.
God is good to us. We are grateful.

Thrift Store Finds: Mema Had One
My sister Brittany, who lives in Augusta, told us about an awesome thrift shop she heard of recently and being the junk lovers we are, the whole family made a trip.
Mema Had One is a cute historic home right outside of downtown Augusta that has been converted into a workshop/store. They had some beautiful children's furniture that we wanted to bring home for some friends of ours and lots of fabulous vintage dresses.
Marshall and I got a cute pillow (photos to come) and an old high waisted riding belt for me. We also got some great ideas for porch decor projects. Augusta has it's own style that has heavily influenced my own. I love finding ways to incorporate the historical and whimsical nature of the Old South in my own designs.
Happy Thriftin!
