We spent the day playing with prairie dogs and watching tourist try desperately to instagram the most artistic shot of a buffalo ever. The Witchita Mountains are one of the reasons I fell in love with Oklahoma. Being from the south where we have "real" mountains, this place looks like something out of a Dr. Suess story, and the baby animals don't hurt either. Always one of my favorite date places and my sweet husband always brings fruit for me to feed the animals (shhh!! defiantly not allowed).
We love the Witchitas and the Refuge.
